Current Position

John L. Bailey is a Manager in the Dallas office of Veritas Advisory Group, Inc. He has experience consulting on matters including construction delay and disruption, as well as breach of contract, contract termination, surety bond claims, and cost audits.

Professional Experience

Mr. Bailey has experience in both construction scheduling and cost analysis. He has prepared and critiqued construction claims, analyzed project schedules, analyzed financial documentation, and estimated costs to complete on troubled projects. He has prepared and analyzed claims for defective work, schedule delays and acceleration, change order work, and cost overruns.

Mr. Bailey has consulted on a variety of projects including airports, power plants, data centers, stadiums, public works/infrastructure projects, commercial and residential buildings, and light rail. His experience on construction contract claims covers the evaluation of schedule analysis issues including design related changes, adverse weather impacts, material availability and delivery, access and permitting requirements, contractor and subcontractor coordination, labor performance and productivity impacts, submittal and approval timing, and termination and substitution issues. Mr. Bailey has assisted on consulting engagements involving analysis of claims on behalf of owners, contractors, and subcontractors during his career.

Prior to joining Veritas, Mr. Bailey was employed by Navigant Consulting, Inc.

Educational Background

Mr. Bailey earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Science from Texas A&M University.
