Current Position

Lisa M. Buck is a Senior Manager in the Dallas office of Veritas Advisory Group, Inc. Ms. Buck specializes in providing assistance on construction matters.

Professional Experience

Ms. Buck has over seventeen years of experience in the construction industry. Her project experience spans a variety of areas and responsibilities including project management, contract negotiation and administration, estimating, cost control, project management, subcontractor coordination, consulting, expediting, budget management, safety, design development and scheduling. Ms. Buck’s project management and construction experience includes the following types of projects: power plants, offshore platforms, data facilities, university and high school facilities, low and mid rise office buildings, hospitals, space/missile support facilities, performing arts, chemical plants, and paper mills. Ms. Buck’s construction experience includes public, private and governmentally funded projects in domestic and international locations.

Since joining Veritas, Ms. Buck has consulted on a variety of construction matters including power plants, hospitals, independent/assisted living facilities, stadiums, and airports. Her efforts have primarily involved schedule analysis, quantification of construction delays, acceleration, evaluation of disruption claims, cost analysis and review, discovery support, mediation support, preparation of graphics, and analysis of claims regarding defective work.

Prior to joining Veritas, Ms. Buck held positions with Brown & Root, Incorporated in Houston, Mobile, Bahrain, Baytown, Glen Rose, Sheldon, Sacramento, Los Angeles, Bradenton and Fort Meyers; with Linbeck Construction Company in Fort Worth; and with Zachry Construction Company in San Antonio and Tulsa.

Educational Background

Ms. Buck earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction from Texas A&M University. She is a member of the Texas A&M University Department of Construction Science’s Construction Industry Advisory Council and the Associated General Contractors of America.
