Current Position

Phillip M. Kohn is a Principal in the Los Angeles office of Veritas Advisory Group, Inc. His litigation support practice focuses primarily on financial and compliance aspects of public contracts as well as commercial business disputes.

Professional Experience

Mr. Kohn has over 25 years of experience in forensic investigations and private industry. Mr. Kohn has provided consulting services to numerous industries such as aerospace, construction, entertainment, financial institutions, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, real estate, securities, and utilities.

In the area of government contracts, Mr. Kohn has extensive experience assisting clients with a broad range of issues primarily involving contracts with the federal government. His work has dealt with various agencies such as DOD, DOE, DOJ, FAA, NASA, and USDA. This assistance has covered topics such as claims, requests for equitable adjustment, overhead allocation, alleged FCA and TINA violations, contract terminations, patent rights, and subcontractor claims.

Mr. Kohn has testified in federal court on Cost Accounting Standards and in state court on commercial disputes. His written testimony has been accepted in the U.S. Federal Bankruptcy Court. He has also served as an arbitrator.

Educational Background

Mr. Kohn is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the state of Washington. He is also Certified in Financial Forensics. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the National Contract Management Association. He is a graduate with honors from Alma College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and holds a Master of Accountancy degree from Arizona State University.
