Current Position

Kenneth E. Monson is a Principal in the Dallas office of Veritas Advisory Group, Inc. He has extensive experience consulting on construction delay and disruption, as well as breach of contract, contract termination, surety bond, and cost audit matters.

Professional Experience

Mr. Monson has over twenty years of experience in construction project management and consulting, including estimating, negotiating and purchasing trade subcontracts, project financial management and contract administration, scheduling and coordinating work, and consulting on various other aspects of construction projects.

Mr. Monson has prepared and critiqued construction claims, assisted sureties in project investigations, developed recovery schedules and calculated costs on troubled projects, and monitored the completions of construction projects for completing sureties and lenders. Mr. Monson has provided expert testimony on schedule and cost issues in state and federal court as well as international arbitration proceedings.

Mr. Monson has consulted on a wide variety of projects, including airports, industrial plants, pipelines, hospitals, stadiums and arenas, theme parks, commercial and residential buildings, highways, rail, and public works projects.

Prior to joining Veritas, Mr. Monson held positions with Navigant Consulting, Inc., The Barrington Consulting Group, and Turner Construction Company.

Educational Background

Mr. Monson earned his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota, and his Master of Business Administration from Duke University. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Project Management Institute, and Institute of Management Accountants.
