Sarah E. Rommelmann, PSP

Ms. Rommelmann has over five years of experience consulting on numerous matters involving construction cost and scheduling disputes. She has been involved in the analysis of construction claim issues on commercial, residential, and public works projects, including – hotels, residences, stadiums, airports, hospitals, convention centers, heavy industrial, transportation systems, and other special use facilities. Ms. Rommelmann has worked on consulting engagements with owners, architects/engineers, general contractors, and subcontractors during her career. Ms. Rommelmann has prepared and analyzed claims for schedule delays and impacts including, labor performance and productivity losses, adverse weather impacts, material availability and delivery impacts, design and change order impacts, submittal and approval timing issues, and termination and substitution issues. Ms. Rommelmann has provided cost review services, including analyzing project estimates, job cost reports, and change orders.  She has used the results of her analysis to determine the reasonableness of the project estimate, allowable cost, and appropriateness of project billings. Ms. Rommelmann has also assisted in the development of recovery and completion schedules and provided schedule review services including peer reviews, progressing, and the development of fragnet activities.

J. Bryan Shine

Mr. Shine’s responsibilities include analysis of construction claims related to schedule delays, cost overruns, productivity impacts, and additional work.  He has consulted on projects for pipelines, compressor stations, and high rises. Prior to joining Veritas, Mr. Shine was Assistant Superintendent for a large commercial general contractor.  He has experience in project administration, client and subcontractor relations, quality management, safety enforcement and work planning.  Mr. Shine has worked on projects in higher education, healthcare, data centers and commercial development.

Katherine E. Sandhop

Ms. Sandhop has performed review and analysis of construction claims including productivity impacts, cost overruns, schedule delays, additional work, and weather delay. She has consulted on industrial, oil and gas, and other large-scale construction projects.

Paul A. Forbes

Mr. Forbes conducts forensic investigations to evaluate financial and economic damages involving complex commercial litigation matters.  Since joining Veritas, Mr. Forbes has provided consulting services to corporate and legal clients in analyzing financial and economic data to help prepare and assess damage claims. Additionally, he has supplemented reports with oil & gas, manufacturing, and intellectual property research.  Mr. Forbes has performed lost profits calculations for commercial matters involving breach of contract, business interruption, fraud, intellectual property infringement, and oil and gas disputes. Prior to joining Veritas, Mr. Forbes’ work experience included account management at a financial services firm where he monitored client’s fixed asset investments including syndicated bank loans, bonds, and asset backed securities.  In addition, he was also a part of the Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) compliance team to help ensure clients were adhering to SEC compliance regulations.
