Mr. Helmes has over 40 years of practical project management experience. He has participated in numerous large-scale construction projects as design engineer, contractor, independent project inspector, owner’s representative and developer.
Mr. Helmes experience has provided him with the skills and insight to effectively perform forensic analyses in the areas of delay, productivity, damages, technical and management root cause investigations as well as project management standard of care evaluations. He has performed these analyses and evaluations on a wide range of infrastructure and building projects.
Further, Mr. Helmes has participated in complex mediations and negotiations and provided expert testimony under different adjudication proceedings both domestically and abroad. Testimony has been associated with delay and impact analysis, damages, project management.
